Liam's EP Diary, Part One - 30 January 2010

Over a caffeine fuelled chat, in our own provincial town, together we decided that we'd like record an new EP, something even more substantial than we've done to date. Grand visions scrawled across coffee ringed napkins have now transformed into more concrete plans… Whilst the concrete dries I thought I'd cast some light on said plans.

We've started serious work on the EP in our studio . We're thinking probably four tracks, possibly released in May-time, maybe some special artwork and most definitely with a quality producer (who we've already chosen). Currently we've got lots of music to squeeze into the recording sessions, we have about 10 "songs", some further along the line than others, all fresh, some different sounds, a couple of acousticy tracks, a very electro-thing, another destined for an orchestra and one gem we probably should sell to Blur for their next comeback… Once we've got all of these to a point we're vaguely happy with them we'll pick 4 and then simply press record and see what happens.

A couple of song titles that might feature have been floating around my head in the shape of "Vagablondes", "Let's Talk", "Jericho" and "Cry until we smile again" I like to remain tight lipped on the lyrical side of things, but there's feeling grey and good as gold and theres Jesus, Stars and the 'WonderBars' all teasing the pages of my books…

You haven't heard the last of me.
